The reference 1655 Explorer 2 is one of the coolest and maybe underrated vintage Rolex sports watches in today’s market !Originally developed for use by cave explorers, the fixed bezel allows the wearer to accurately tell 24-hour time. This one of the later models with cool Mk4 matte dial and the last bezel version.

The case remains in lovely condition, as does the bezel. The Mk4 dial is in super nice condition, with dark patina on the hour markers and the hands. The Mk4 dial’s main characteristic is the uneven ‘crooked’ coronet. We think it’s cool! These watches are known in Italian as ‘Il Freccione’, which means big arrow – referring to the orange 24hr hand. On this watch the orange had has remained a stunning vibrant colour, which is a great contrast to the rich black dial. The jubilee bracelet reference 62150H is in good condition with a clasp stamped “E” and reference 555 endlinks. The watch has been fully serviced by our watchmaker.
